"The school with the most world champions": River inaugurated the new building of its school

El Millonario experienced a historic day this Monday. The club inaugurated the new building of Colegio River , which is located in the facilities of the Monumental but now with its own structure, so the classrooms will no longer be under the stadium stands.
At the event that also marked the beginning of the 2025 school year, the first graders cut the symbolic ribbon of the new building that will house 1,000 students. In this way, after 42 years, the educational institute moved from the stadium ring to be built in a single and exclusive building of 6,000 square meters, with four educational levels and three entrances along the internal street Saénz Valiente.
Under the motto "the school with the most world champions on the planet" (because it was the school where Gonzalo Montiel, Germán Pezzella, Julián Álvarez, Enzo Fernández, Exequiel Palacios and Guido Rodríguez were educated), the institution in Núñez released images of a historic day that will remain in the memory of the River Plate world.
Jorge Brito, the club's president, who was present at the event, was very excited about the "revolution of works" that his management is carrying out at River and stated: "The school could not be alien to this revolution of works that we were experiencing at River, this place is going to give us something in line with what we needed, something new, but also being within the club. It is a special, different start to classes, a day that will mark a before and after in the history of River education, because after a lot of effort we can have our new River School."
🎒It's always a good time for us 🤍❤️🤍

For his part, the club's general secretary, Stefano Di Carlo, said: "A River without football is impossible. But a River without education would be a sin, something we could not allow ourselves. Living and playing with greatness is not just a cliché, it is a direction we pursue and practice daily. Without excellent education we would not be fulfilling that legacy."
With the aim of hosting more than 1,000 students and providing educational excellence in sports and academic training, the new structure has an Initial Level with six classrooms for children aged 2, 3, 4 and 5 and a Primary Level with 14 classrooms (both with full-time classes). In addition, the Secondary Level with ten morning courses and the RiverDAR plan for high-performance athletes in the afternoon shift. To complete the offer, the Tertiary Level with the face-to-face and distance technical course of the Sports Journalism degree.
The new River School building has renovated and spacious classrooms, open and closed spaces for different educational proposals, new furniture, a dining room, a maker space and modern offices.
